YIKES!!! HAIRLINE EMERGENCY

Okay, well maybe I just have a big forehead. Anyhow, rather it is thin edges, receding hairline, or just a plain big ole' forehead, I plan on getting some thick edges and narrowing that space between my eyebrows and hairline. How do I plan to do that? Good question. The honest answer is, I do not know how I will accomplish that but I am DETERMINED to make it happen at whatever cost. Now I am going to upload a picture, I don't want you to be scared because I do not have anything on my face, and I am dressed for bed. So be warned.... If you notice, my edges are not the thickest that they should be, and also not as much of my forehead is covered with baby hair. My goal is to get nice thick edges like the images below. Now the above images are my goal edges. Nice, laid, and thick. What I am going to try to do is use jbco every night and massage it into my hairline. Not going to pull my hair back tight. Going to stop tying head scarf tightly, and lastly giving it s

CELEBRITY HAIR OF THE WEEK: #HAHN TIKA SUMPTER

Aside from her natural beauty, the star of OWN's "The Haves and The Have Nots" Tika Sumpter has hair just as gorgeous. Normally on the show she wears sew-ins as a protective style but I think that her natural hair would broadcast her real beauty. The Queen's born starlet used to blog about her hair but has stopped a few years ago. In the above picture, do you see how thick and lovely her all natural hair is? OMG that is my goal length and health overall. Sheeesh! More on her hair care 1.  Biotin “I just started taking Biotin a month ago, but so far my hair is thicker!” 2.  Loreal EverCrème Sulfate-Free Moisture System Nourishing Shampoo “I have natural hair, and sulfate-free shampoos make my hair easier to comb through it,” she says. “I dont even blow it out—it’s so soft and un-tangled!” 3.  Clarins Skin Care System “I wear so much makeup [on set] my skin gets crazy,” she says. “In between my monthly facials, I use this system to keep my sk

BOX BRAIDS...THE LOVE FOR THEM

The longest that I have left my hair alone was when I had box braids in. I actually left them in for a total of three weeks. For some reason, I have an issue with leaving my hair alone, so for me to leave it alone, I decided to braid my hair up for a while. My goal is to leave this in for at least a month and a half. For the next month, I am going to do my best to stay on schedule.  Sundays/Tuesdays/Thursdays: Oil Scalp with homemade oil Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays: Massage scalp for at least five minutes, wrap hair up, moisturize braids Saturdays: Wash hair As for a daily routine, I will remain taking Biotin vitamins and see where that gets me. Thus far it has been great. My hair is growing in thick, and quick. I will update you on the growth later this week. A pic that I had taken before I put the braids in. In case you are curious, her are some pics of the braids I did. It only took me four hours with breaks in between. (Don't mind the last few pics, I wa

DIFFERENT STYLES WITH SHORT HAIR

Okay, I take you saw my last blog post about how I randomly made the decision to chop off my heat damaged hair. Well, now that I am starting over, I haven't had hair this short in over a decade, lol. I am still not brave enough to wear my own hair in public like I would like to. It is in between that awkward stage where my face seems to appear huge. I hate that, especially with my features, it just draws more attention to my face. UGH! It has been almost a complete month without heat in my hair. On the 29th marks one month since I big chopped. For the next three months, I plan to wear box braids in my hair since I like the way it looks on me, plus if I want to give them a wash, I can do so very easily. Now the struggle of waking up trying to cram some gel in my hair will not be an issue. Well, I have found a few styles that I like on me, Surprisingly my hair fits up into a bun. Check the pictures below. Which do you like? Do not forget to follow my instagram as I will be postin

NEW JOURNEY...SHORT HAIR, DON'T CARE, WILL GROW....BUT SLOW!!!

I know you read the title and thought "What is this woman rambling about now?" Well, this is my first time blogging about this so I am just going to come out and say that I did the big chop. Even though I was already natural, but I had a lot of heat damage. I didn't want to admit it, but yes, I had it. Now my new journey is will consist of getting my length back AND thickness, as well as overall health.  Heat damage at it's worst. No curl pattern at all Sorry for the rough picture but it was a random kind of night. It was 4 am and I was awake debating if I was really going to cut it off. After the back in forth in my mind, I started slowly chopping away, and guess what? My curls started popping.  So I straightened my hair for the last time. I just couldn't resist. I had to have a picture to look back on. I miss you hair. I really do. Sigh Again, I fought with myself and finally did it. The final result YUCK!! I was embarr
