DEAR DECEMBER: DAY 15

As I type this, I'm giving myself an oil treatment just using Shea Butter and Coconut Oil. Not sure how long I'm going to let it soak into my strands but I do know that I needed it. My hair was so dry, it soaked the oil right up. Now the big question is, am I going to shampoo afterwards, or go straight to conditioner and wait another week before shampooing? Hmm... Then, if I do shampoo after, am I going to try roller-setting? am I going to dry wrap like I have done in the past? or am I going to wear it naturally curly? Decisions, decisions, decisions. Stay tuned...

DEAR DECEMBER: DAY 2

After I did the  Coconut Oil Treatment  last night, I didn't do anything else as far as day one was concerned. I just put four conrows in over night to do braidout. I did trim off a lot of hair last night. I didn't like the way my ends were feeling. After cutting off a few inches, I found that in certain areas, my curls were popping again. So I may just continue to slowly trim off the heat damaged hair every three months if need be. DAY 1 PRE-POO'D  SHAMPOO'D CONDITIONED APPLIED SHEA BUTTER AND CURLS UNLEASHED TO HAIR, THEN PUT INTO FOUR CORNROWS DAY 2 TOOK OUT CORNROWS TO DO A BRAID OUT NIGH TIME: APPLIED OIL MIXTURE TO SCALP, WRAPPED HAIR UN-BRAIDED.

COCONUT OIL TREATMENT

Dear December...Day 1 Keeping it simple. Coconut oil treatment to add moisture and shine to my hair. I want that strength, elasticity back in my strands. To view step by step on what exactly to do, follow my other pre-poo routine ( Pre-poo for softness ). For this round, I'm only using coconut oil, about a spoonful of olive oil, shea butter, and some cinnamon oil mixture. Planning on letting it set on my hair for about an hour. Rinse, shampoo, then condition. Most likely I will dry wrap my hair to put it up in a high bun for work tomorrow.
