COCONUT OIL TREATMENT

Dear December...Day 1 Keeping it simple. Coconut oil treatment to add moisture and shine to my hair. I want that strength, elasticity back in my strands. To view step by step on what exactly to do, follow my other pre-poo routine ( Pre-poo for softness ). For this round, I'm only using coconut oil, about a spoonful of olive oil, shea butter, and some cinnamon oil mixture. Planning on letting it set on my hair for about an hour. Rinse, shampoo, then condition. Most likely I will dry wrap my hair to put it up in a high bun for work tomorrow.

HIGH BUN, HIGH STYLE

I don't know what got into me. Recently I have been wearing nothing but this high bun. At first I thought my head was too big but oh well if it is. It looks cute.  Just thought I would share a few pics of it.

MANAGING SUMMER HAIR

Personally, it is too hot to be wearing all this added hair in the summer. With my natural BSL hair, I find it easy to just wash-n-go with a bun tuck, or a french braid down the middle. I even just rock a high banana clip so my hair will not bother me. Usually I wear my personalized "spanish" bun when I'm tired. I mean I literally get so tired of this hair that I am so tempted to grab the scissors and cut it all off. But that would be stupid. So as of this summer, I find it simple to just wear box braids up into a high ponytail. That way my hair is still protected (with moisture rituals, and conditioning treatments) as well as not bothering me in this heat. If you are one who is not into wearing box braids, and such, try going for the all natural wash-n-go look: Credit: Essence.com or a high bun credit:  easynaturalhair.com or try styles using banana clips. These are a few I have that have kept me cool during the heat Regardless ...

QUICK HAIRSTYLE OF THE DAY!

I flat ironed my hair on Sunday for the new semester of school. So since I hate hair being in my face these days, I decided to do the "old-school" half up, half down style. I sectioned off the top half from the bottom. Pinned the front half uup into a loose bun and waaalaaah....look complete. Quick and simple. Look below for pictures of the finished look.
