I was stunned when I came across a picture on Instagram of Love and Hip Hop Star Mimi Faust. It was a picture of the starlet's hair. Initially, I always thought Mimi's hair was most likely thin, brittle, and relaxed due to the way the extensions or wigs look on her so imagine my surprise when she revealed her long, naturally-curly mane for the world to see. I did some digging into how she kept her curls intact and her hair healthy while undergoing the strenous hair practices she is subjected to almost every time she steps out of the house. I found from an interview back in 2012 with Longingforlengh.com, that Mimi has been natural since the age of 19. She washes her hair once a week and normally styles her hair herself with the use of limited heat. Interesting because I always see her hair in straight styles on television or on her pictures. Angela Simmons, celebrity socialite, is known to rock some nice extensions, but did you know how truly beautiful her real hair is. I'm talking about the real natural hair that almost reaches her hips? Well in case you did not know, she gladly shows off her beautiful strands on Instagram.  And just a side note....I do not believe she took hairfinity all this time. 

Jada Pinkett Smith has always been beautiful to me. All the way from the tough girl in Set-It-Off, to her loving friendship with Tupac. Even more beautiful than Jada's face, is her beautiful and gorgeous hair. Here is a post she just uploaded to facebook regarding her hair, hope you enjoy. She even shares what products she uses. It has been a long time coming. Despite all the accusations of Nicki never showing her hair with a "proper" length check, she actually showed her hair in wet pics. I didn't know people could be in so much of an uproar of a "real hair" pic that does not show a person's face, arm tat, boobs, or whatever else. I mean I understand you want proof but damn is it REALLY that serious? This was the image Nicki uploaded of her real hair and people went wild saying it was not hers. After that fiasco, for a video shoot, Nicki released additional images of her hair, and yet people still insisted she was not revealing her natural hair, although evidence points to it being all of hers since there is no lumps, or abnormal look to the hair. We all remember her as Fancy on the Jamie Foxx show. I remember her because of her beauty. She always just had beautiful skin to me that I always wished I had. You know, that flawless clear skin. Well did you also know that she is Haitian? Of course you did. Anyway, I always loved her braidouts/twistouts. I tried to find her hair-care regimen and I mean I tried hard but for some reason, she doesn't really talk about her hair practices. Go figure. However, I did find a couple of picture of supposedly her "naked hair." Garcelle Beauvais seems to have relaxed hair, I could be mistaken but I doubt it. And it also appears her natural texture (judging from the images of her needing a bad touch-up), she seems to fall right into a type 4b. Either way, her hair stays gorgeous with extensions or without.

Okay, I'm late again. But this time it is hair related. I have been busy taking care of business and also putting back in my box braids for the past three days. I finally finished and will now catch up on the topics for this week. Since I didn't post like I should I am playing catch-up. The following will be posted by 8am tomorrow morning.
