WEAVED OUT WEDNESDAYS: W.O.W

I know I'm always talking about natural hair this, or real hair that, so now we have a "Weaved Out Wednesday" known as W.O.W. for all the girls who love good extensions. I remember the days I used to wear weaves or extensions for weeks at a time. Nothing wrong with them as long as you are taking care of your hair while in your install. My sew-in choice of the week is the layered weave. Ohh I just love it. Take a look at the pictures below to see what I am talking about. You would want it too. It just has a realistic flow about it. Now I just have to figure out the braid pattern.

SUMMER NO HEAT CHALLENGE

I honestly do not recall telling you all that I will not be using heat this summer. The last time that I used heat was June 3rd for my beautiful cousins graduation ceremony. For the past month of June, I basically did wash and gos, braidouts, or a twist and bun. I got so tired of this head full of hair at one point, I decided to cut it all off. Luckily I didn't. So July 1st, I put box braids in for this month. Now you know how I get impatient, and bored with my hair easily, so my goal is to keep these in for the ENTIRE month. GASP! I hope I last that long, because honestly, as I am typing this, I feel like I had enough and want to do a wash-n-go. Now I have vacation coming up the first weekend of August. Going to the beach baby. Aaah. Fresh air, fresh hair, and fresh weave is what I will be wearing. I plan on getting a sew-in done. self-install to be exact. Now with the install, I plan on keeping it in until the first week of September. I am just in a hurry to see how much my o...

LOOKING FOR EASY AND QUICK WAYS TO PROTECTIVE STYLE FOR GROWTH?

Did you ever consider wearing weaves or wigs to grow out your hair. Whether you are transitioning, natural, or relaxed, I've encountered several people who use weaves, braids, or wigs to less manipulate their own strands. By the way, when I say wearing weaves, I mean non-glue weaves. One of the many people who come to mind while transitioning to natural is Reniece. The hair infamous hair stylist who helps her clients retain length and health through her weaving services. She went from broken and relaxed, to past waist length natural within four years. And not just length, but health of the hair was also phenomenal. Check out her other clients that she has helped.  Not only here, but several others have also had success with this method during their transitioning. Honestly, I tried this method in the past, but was unable to stay on that path. I like to feel my real hair and change it every other day or so, so this method did not work for me. Main thing in whatever you ...

HAIR LIKE RASHEEDA

Well the post that I get asked most about is the one with Rasheeda. Asking is her hair real and how to achieve the look. Well yes, her hair is 100% real and natural.  This weekend, my friend decided to try the style out and let me post the pictures so you can see how easy it is to obtain the look. This style was done with a sew-in. Braids to the side, and a part left out to cover the tracks of the "wet n wavy" weave. Nothing too complicated.
