MARCH MADNESS: DAY 3

I didn't do anything at all to my hair until bedtime. Still with the flat iron job from over a week ago, I finally oiled my scalp with a mix a created, I put oil on my strands and separated my hair into a top half and a bottom half. I then put them into two large buns. I'm going to keep it in over night and return with the results tomorrow evening. Last time I did this, it came out with a very wavy, curly look. (Images below) So to recap what I did for my night routine: Separated hair into two sections. A top half and a bottom half Starting with the bottom half, I begin to oil my scalp with a mixture I created After oiling the bottom half, I then use Shea Butter to moisturize my strands, starting with the ends.  I brush softly, then put into a big bantu knot. Repeat the same thing for the top half Let it sit in hair for a few hours Complete

DEAR DECEMBER: DAY 15

As I type this, I'm giving myself an oil treatment just using Shea Butter and Coconut Oil. Not sure how long I'm going to let it soak into my strands but I do know that I needed it. My hair was so dry, it soaked the oil right up. Now the big question is, am I going to shampoo afterwards, or go straight to conditioner and wait another week before shampooing? Hmm... Then, if I do shampoo after, am I going to try roller-setting? am I going to dry wrap like I have done in the past? or am I going to wear it naturally curly? Decisions, decisions, decisions. Stay tuned...

PRODUCTS TEST

In an attempt to revamp my regimen, I decided to add on a few products while cutting back on unnecessary ones I have been using. I decided to pick up 100% pure African Shea Butter and 100% pure Jamaican Coconut Oil. I didn't know the Shea Butter was this thick or had a "spongy" type of feeling until applied to hair. I put Bantu Knots in my hair last night and this Shea Butter made it extremely soft. It also laid the Bantu Knots down. After a month, I will give my review of Shea Butter and and results I have gained or loss during this trail. Shea Butter: Picture compliment of  http://o2beautiful.wordpress.com As far as the Coconut Oil, I thought it was going to be an oil, but it was actually a thick solid block, until applied to body temperature to where it then turns into oil. I missed a portion of it into herbal hair grease, and Miconazole Nitrate 2%.  (Don't judge me, I will elaborate in the next post of my regimen). I applied to this my scalp only. N...
