One of the best protective styles out there these days are Box Braids. Their trendy, stylish, versatile, and flexible in styling. You can even dress them up with accessories. I am not one to wear protective styles, but lately, Box Braids have been becoming  my best friend. @IAmIjanei  Wearing this easy to do protective style saves me a lot of time getting ready for the day. Aside from that, it gives your tresses a break from normal every day combing. I am the type of person who washes my hair at least once every other day, therefore, keeping these braids in longer than one week always is a challenge for me. I have my co-worker just as obsessed as I am with hair. I mean, all she does is talk about hair, day in and day out, on my texts and in my email, in front of patients, while I'm on the phone with patients, or even while we are in a meeting, all I hear is about hair. I LOVE IT. I had convinced her to go natural over a year ago, and she is so happy with her choice. She is trying all kind of styles with her that that makes me proud. Okay, now the point of this post, she wanted a hairstyle sort of like a braided up mohawk. Something like the image below: Thing was, she wanted me to try it first. Well, I did it. Except I didn't do both sides, I just did one due to my head looking abnormal when both sides are up, lol  Waiting for the results? Before I show you, just know that everyone loved it. I received so many compliments that I was full of myself. Okay, enough talking, here you go:

As always, I'm browsing youtube again for different styles for the week. I began going through African hairstyles when I discovered tree braided cornrows. I know what tree braids are, but to have it all in cornrows, I doubt if I want that. The most I would probably do is three but to me, they just do not look "stylish" when put all over the head like that. Maybe it's just me, judge for yourself.

This week I have been super lazy with my hair. Okay, I will be honest, I have been so busy that I have not really been taking care of my precious strands as I normally would do. So this week, I found something just as super easy for those super lazy days we go through. Simply two braids along the side. Then when you have to run out to the store, you can simply in raid it and where it wavy. I did this a few times then rebraided again. At times I even went out with the braids in.  Just something super quick and easy for those lazy days. Pics below is the hair unbraided  and pinned to the side.
