COLON CLEANSE: IS IT NECESSARY?

This topic may be a little "messy" or considered TMI, but if you do not have the correct information, then how will you know whether to o do a cleanse or not.

A friend of mine told me about how she lost five pounds in a little less than a week. Of course I asked her how. That's when I was hit with the idea of using a Colon Cleanse. At first, I was like...

But I started thinking about it. Would it hurt me? What harm could it really do? So I began researching it more in depth. From what I gathered, cleanses are actually good for you as long as they are not done too frequently

It is suggested that just as you cleanse your hair, house, and soul (spiritually), you should cleanse your body of the build up of toxins and waste along the digestive tract into the colon. A lot of crap (literally) sticks to the walls of your colon that could have been there for years, just hanging on for dare life. Colon cleansers come in a variety of forms, including capsules, laxatives, enemas, and "high colonics" which flush large amounts of water through the intestines.

Just keep in mind, that just because you do lose the build up, taking cleanses excessively can actually cause harm for your body. Remember you are releasing a lot of electrolytes, So I went over to WEBMD to see what the "experts" had to say about using these "aids".

Colon Cleanser Cautions

Colon cleansers aren't just unnecessary, according to experts, they may even cause harm. "Using coloncleansers on a repetitive basis is not a great idea," Kava says. Your intestines aren't just a waste disposal unit; they're also a place where nutrients from food are absorbed to the bloodstream, to be transported throughout your entire body. Washing out the intestinal tract could potentially interrupt this absorption, leaving you with a vitamin or mineral deficiency, Kava tells WebMD. Â In addition, frequent use of some types of laxatives can have a boomerang effect, so that cleaning your colon could leave it less able to do its job the way nature intended.
Another pitfall of colon cleansers is that they can lead to dehydration, Johnson says.
Moreover, high colonics can potentially harm the colon, causing small tears or internal damage.
Perhaps most alarming, colon cleansers have no proven safety record. "Colon cleansers are really not strictly regulated and tested," Johnson says. "If a product is shown to be harmful, the FDA will take action to have it removed from shelves, but it's not at all the same as taking a prescription drug that's been tested meticulously."
I knew that I would not abuse the laxatives so  I opted to try them. I ordered the same kind as my friend had told me about and let me tell you, it was not a pleasant experience when those pains start coming in. You better make sure there is a bathroom nearby or else your stomach will make noise that you never even heard of before. BUT I can say that after the 14 day the cleanse recommended, I was flatter in the stomach, I felt more comfortable, and even had a more energy.

Who is to say what is and what isn't going to work for your body. I had to try it for myself and see if my body accepted it well. My complaint is that I did not drink enough water, and my mouth was always dry.

The best way to cleanse yourself is through the body's automatic system. The body does a great job at cleaning itself when it needs. Also increase fiber and green leafy veggies, that is the most natural way to give yourself a cleanse without causing harm to your body. Lastly, increase your water to the recommended levels will help with the body's "flushing" system.

With anything, always check with your physician when in doubt. Please don't starve yourself during this process but make sure to eat healthier before, during, and after a cleanse.

HAIR OF THE DAY: BROOKE BAILEY

For those of you wondering if this is all of Brooke Bailey's hair.....I can let all of the inquiring minds know that YES, this is indeed her real hair, and not only is this her real hair, she is also natural.  She was asked on twitter if she perms or presses her hair out with a hot comb. She had responded by saying @brookebaileyinc LOL ...  I don't perm or press my hair. In this pic I washed it and let it air dry.  It seems as if she always had beautiful hair. Her hair is absolutely gorgeous and looks very healthy. Her natural haircare line (in which she uses for her hair) will be launched shortly. I guess I may have to give it a try. Considering how shiny her hair looks, it can't be that bad. (Click to enlarge images)

TRUMP TWEETS A MESSAGE FOR AMERICANS AMID DACA SCANDAL

With the rest of the United States still trying to come to grips with the devastation that occurred one week ago in Texas by Hurricane Harvey, Trump takes to twitter and gives a labor day tweet for Americans. That may not seem like a big deal but for about 800,000 DACA recipients, it comes as a slap in the face. What is DACA? DACA stands for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. It's American immigration policy founded by former president, Barack Obama in June 2012. DACA allows certain illegal immigrants who entered the country as minors, to receive a renewable two-year period of deferred action from deportation and eligibility for a work permit. Well, "All-American" president, Donald Trump, wants to do away with the program as he feels America should be ran by Americans. Meaning, only American items to be made by American workers. That's interesting, considering numerous women Trump has been with and married to did not come to this country born American...

One of my favorite comedians is Eddie Murphy, but did you know that Eddie Murphy is more than just a comedian, he's a father of nine. Did you hear that, NINE children with five different women, five of nine children are with ex-wife, the super-beautiful, Nicole Mitchell-Murphy. Eddie makes beautiful offspring nonetheless. Eddie has three sons: Eric Murphy, Christian Murphy, and Myles Murphy. And six daughters: Bria Murphy, Shayne Murphy, Zola Murphy, Bella Murphy, Angel Iris Murphy Brown, and Izzy Murphy. Paulette Murphy Eric Murphy Eric Murphy is the son with Paulette McNeely. There aren't any pictures of Paulette or none taken with Eddie so that is a mystery in itself BUT I happen to stumble upon her picture and her work place from a source close to Eddie. Paulette works as a Medical Aesthetician & Body Contouring Expert. ________________________________ Christian Murphy is the son with Tamara Hood. It was said that Tamara Hood was to be cast in VH1's ...
