NIGHTTIME HAIR WRAPPING ROUTINE

Quick and easy. Plus you do not have to struggle with the top middle section that rarely cooperates.  Now that is a real struggle right there. Trust me, then it results in you having broken pieces in the middle. Ugh!

COLON CLEANSE: IS IT NECESSARY?

This topic may be a little "messy" or considered TMI, but if you do not have the correct information, then how will you know whether to o do a cleanse or not. A friend of mine told me about how she lost five pounds in a little less than a week. Of course I asked her how. That's when I was hit with the idea of using a Colon Cleanse. At first, I was like... But I started thinking about it. Would it hurt me? What harm could it really do? So I began researching it more in depth. From what I gathered, cleanses are actually good for you as long as they are not done too frequently It is suggested that just as you cleanse your hair, house, and soul (spiritually), you should cleanse your body of the build up of toxins and waste along the digestive tract into the colon. A lot of crap (literally) sticks to the walls of your colon that could have been there for years, just hanging on for dare life. Colon cleansers come in a variety of forms, including capsules, laxatives,

A FEW CLASSIC MOVIES THAT YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO MISS

Credit to:  techpp.com These movies always will be at the top of my go-to list whenever I am in the mood for a good laugh. You know some childhood movies are forever classics and you just do not want to let them go. That is how I am with these movies. Check out my a few of my classic favs that I have recently went back to enjoy for time's sake. Teen Witch: How could you not have this at the top of the list? The best movie ever in my young life. I always root for the underdog and when homegirl got her powers, I was all of myself. Besides, when her friend also went from dweeb to sheek and started spitting a rap against the boys, I was sold. Juice:    Classic. That is all I can say. How could you go wrong with Tupac in a movie? "You got the juice now." Omar Epps ended up becoming the man. The best scene in the whole movie. Beetlejuice:   You cannot lose when the dead come back in this hilarious comedy. Scary Movie 2: Scarily STUPID. My all-time favorite movi

NIKE RELEASES FIRST SHOES FOR SKATEBOARDERS

Nike, the leading brand in shoes and sneakers has finally released its shoe dedicated to skateboarders. How cool is that? With sneakers designed specifically for various other sports including gold ( um huh?), it's a no-brainer that this was due.  “In skate, your feet are your hands,” Carboy said in a statement. “The more feel you have for your board, the better positioned you are to pull off a trick. With Nike Hyperfeel, we’ve focused on ways to create a symbiotic relationship between your feet and your board.” You see how the guy in the gif flipped the board with his shoes on his feet? So Nike is saying that their shoes, created with Flyknit Technology can actually do more than that? Well it does according to creator of shoes, pro skateboarder, Eric Koston. “The Flyknit collar is about fit and sensory,” Koston said in a statement. “You feel your shoe connected from your ankle all the way down. Subconsciously, you feel the shoe doing what you want it to do.”

WORKING WOMAN WEDNESDAY: KIMBERLY BRYANT

I love seeing people working towards their future and accomplishing goals; especially when when that person is a woman, AND a woman of color at that. Meet Kimberly Bryant,  Founder and Executive Director of Black Girls CODE. Black Girls CODE is a non-profit organization whose mission is to teach girls of color to become digital creators and technology leaders ( Facebook ).  "When I was first introduced to computer programming, as a freshman in Electrical Engineering, Fortran and Pascal were the popular languages for newbies in computing and the Apple Macintosh was the new kid on the block. I remember being excited by the prospects, and looked forward to embarking on a rich and rewarding career after college. But I also recall, as I pursued my studies, feeling culturally isolated: few of my classmates looked like me. While we shared similar aspirations and many good times, there’s much to be said for making any challenging journey with people of the same cultural background

RELATIONSHIP GOALS OR NAH

What is up with all of the new "goals" for relationships? Have you saw them on Instagram and Facebook? Like is there no more wanting to date, marry, build a life together, be successful, and have children? And even it if is not the previously mentioned, don't you just want someone who is there for you, loyal, and respects whatever decisions you make, someone who believes in God at least? Why is this coming up as a topic? Because I am tired of seeing "relationship goals" that should be labeled "relationship fails." Well not all of them are bad. Take a look below at some of the "goals" I found via Instagram. In my world, I prefer more like the #goals below.

BAR SOAP VS BODY WASH

Nothing better than feeling clean and refreshed. But what is your preference in terms of washing? Do you prefer bar soaps or body washes? Because I like feeling COMPLETELY refreshed, clean, and soft, I use both. I start with the bar soap (which is usually Irish Spring or Coast), after I coat my entire body with the bar soap, I wash off then use a body wash because I don't like the streaky (yes I have problems) feeling left behind from the soap. The body wash offers a sense of moisture and softness after rinsing off. Let me tell you it is the best feeling in the world to smell like peaches, vanilla cream, strawberries, or whatever other fragrance the body wash you choose to use has in it. Call me crazy but I figure the bar soaps rinse away all of the stress from the day, all of the worries, then the body wash comes behind and eases your mind and relaxes you with it's heavenly scent. There. I made sense of it even though it makes no sense. That may be true, but I b
