CELEBRITY SUNDAY: ANGELA SIMMONS

Angela Simmons, celebrity socialite, is known to rock some nice extensions, but did you know how truly beautiful her real hair is. I'm talking about the real natural hair that almost reaches her hips? Well in case you did not know, she gladly shows off her beautiful strands on Instagram.  And just a side note....I do not believe she took hairfinity all this time.

WEAVED OUT WEDNESDAYS: W.O.W

I know I'm always talking about natural hair this, or real hair that, so now we have a "Weaved Out Wednesday" known as W.O.W. for all the girls who love good extensions. I remember the days I used to wear weaves or extensions for weeks at a time. Nothing wrong with them as long as you are taking care of your hair while in your install. My sew-in choice of the week is the layered weave. Ohh I just love it. Take a look at the pictures below to see what I am talking about. You would want it too. It just has a realistic flow about it. Now I just have to figure out the braid pattern.

TWISTED TUESDAY: TWISTS GALORE

So now we are through with "Messy Mondays," we are entering into Twisted Tuesday. I love seeing women on TV with twist-outs, braid-outs, or their natural coils to be viewed by millions. On Tuesday nights, after work, I normally watch The Haves and the Have Nots but since that is no longer on until 2015, I began watching If Loving You is Wrong... Let me tell you, if you are not watching, you are definitely missing out. Drama Galore.  Now for twisted Tuesdays, I want to announce a coily sister, who stars in If Loving You is Wrong... Meet April Parker-Jones, a natural hair beauty. Take a look at her beautiful coils. April Parker-Jones is our Twisted Tuesday Feature.  If Loving You is Wrong comes on OWN on Tuesday nights at 9pm ET

HAIR PREP + RESULTS

I started the week off with a fresh wash and deep conditioning treatment and boy does my hair feel great. Earlier today (Monday), I did not do anything with my hair at all. Okay, well I prepped my hair for a braid out tomorrow. I plan to have my braid-out turn out something like the image below. I want a nice, chunky braid-out like so. So in order to achieve this look, I decided to use Elasta QP Olive Oil and Mango Curling Butter . I also oiled my scalp with a homemade oil mix, and boy did it satisfy my scalp.  To begin, I brushed out my hair, separated into a top half and a bottom half to prepare to do a braid-out. Next I parted my hair and started plaiting my hair, not braiding. I put in several plaints and this is my result. Hopefully tomorrow my result turns out beautifully chunky. I will return later with results. Also look out for "Twisted Tuesdays" post today.  ETA: Pics My results, ignore the close up shot, but hey, it is the best

MESSY MONDAY

Time for a reality check. Most of the world is fascinated with Reality television, mostly on Monday Prime-time. Well I thought it would be a great idea to give you some reality TV on my blog. Since today is the premiere of Tiny & Shekinah's Weave Trip , how about we talk about that. Tiny & Shekinah's Weave Trip is a spin-off from Tiny and T.I's reality show, Family Hustle , a show giving you an inside look of how it is inside the doors of a hip-hop family. I actually love the show simply because T.I shows you can be cool among the industry and still have fun at home. Tiny demonstrates how it is to handle a family hands-on. Tiny & Shekinah's Weave Trip begins tonight with eight episodes for it's first season. This show will show Tiny and her hair-stylist best girlfriend, Skekinah, traveling across the country to promote their new mobile hair salon business. Creative if you ask me. If you know the relationship between these two home girls, you know

UPGRADED HAIR ROUTINE

This is a sure plan for optimum growth before the end of the year. There is exactly two and half months left before the year ends. I plan to achieve at least three inches in that time, so I came up with a "routine" to keep me on track. Take a peek below. Keep in mind, I always do my hair at night-time.  Sunday: Wash day. Today is the day I wash away all of the weeks worth of buildup. I will first shampoo thoroughly with V05 Moisturizing Shampoo Next I will use Hollywood Beauty Olive Cholesterol Deep Conditioning Creme for 20 minutes while I shower. Blot dry hair and let hair air-dry. Oil Scalp with Mega-growth Hair Oil Style for the week as desired. Monday/Friday:  If I decide to flat iron my hair, I will use a heat protectant serum. If I decide to wear my hair natural, I will run a nickel size amount of oil through my hair, and either co-wash, bottle spray, or pin hair up Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday: Preserve hair from previous day.  Oil Scalp Do a

WHERE TO NOW

So, as you know, I cut off my hair last month. So far it is growing back nice and quickly. I am making sure that I deep condition these strands at least once a week. I have only straightened my  hair once and it looked amazing. I received so many compliments about how healthy my hair looks, and how shiny it is. Therefore, I think that the cut was needed. I do however miss the length.  My route now is uncertain. I want to install a weave, then I change my mind to braids, then again I change it to just wearing it in it's natural state. Sigh* So many options. Any ideas? My birthday is next month so I may settle for the weave until the end of the year? Good idea or bad? Either way, I will keep you posted.
